Enhancing health care delivery: second lady launches Nursing and Midwifery Strategic Plan and Services Framework

The second lady, Hajia Samira Bawumia has launched the five year Nursing and Midwifery Strategic plan and Services Framework (2019-2023)

She  stressed on the need for the country’s health workers to be adequately resourced and motivated to give off their best, especially, as Ghana works towards achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

Hajia Samira Bawumia was the Keynote Speaker at the opening of the 2018 National Nurses and Midwives Managers and Leaders Conference, in Accra.

Addressing participants at the event, the second lady said ‘’It is refreshing to know that, collectively, nurses and midwives have a blueprint to guide the discharge of their professional duties, as frontline caregivers, to the Ghanaian people.’’
