A former opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament, for the Nabdam Constituency in the Upper East Region, Mr. Moses Asaga has raised doubts about the victory of the Party in the 2020 presidential polls in the constituency.
According to him, even though he was optimistic about the NDC winning the parliamentary seat, he was not sure NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama will win in the constituency.
In his estimation, the race will be too close-to-call and tight for the NDC and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
BestNewsGH.com reports the former Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) as positing that he was feverishly preparing to go home to Nabdam to help the current NDC Member of Parliament Dr. Kurt Nawane campaign.
Mr. Asaga who was speaking in an interview on a local radio station and monitored by BestNewsGH.com said “With Nabdam, NDC is going to win the seat, that one I’m telling you as a fact . I’m sure everybody is hearing me loud and clear and I’m coming home also to support my MP for the Campaign. So we are going to win the seat for Nabdam.’’
He continued that “The National , I will say is close to call. Close to call means,it is going to be a tight race . I’m telling you it is close to call , very very close to call.’’
