National Women’s Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Hannah Bissiw has warned that the Electoral Commission will be endangering the country’s democracy should it resort to the use of drones to transport ballot boxes containing election results during the 2020 elections.

According to her, the NDC will resist the move with all of its might, explaining that the whole plan smacks of a grand ploy by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the electoral commission to rig the 2020 election.

Beyond the allegation of connivance between government and the electoral commission to use the drones to rig the 2020 elections, the former deputy Minister for food and agriculture noted that the drones are also going to be used to monitor their activities in their various homes.

‘’The drones have cameras implanted on them and these can capture your entire home in seconds. If I spot any such drone near my house, I will use a stick and hit it down and destroy it. If you have a government that fails to prioritise what the needs of its people are, when they bring some of these things, this is the way to handle them’’ she said on Accra based okay fm.

Hannah Bissiw further accused the NPP government of failing the Ghanaian people woefully, after riding on the back of lies to political power.

She said the NDC will win the 2020 elections and reverse the dwindling fortunes of the country emanating from crass mismanagement and incompetence.
