Minister for communications Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has grabbed a traditional queenship title which will be conferred on her on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Asuom in the Eastern Region.
The Minister, who also doubles as the Member of Parliament for the Ablekuma West constituency in the Greater Accra Region, will be enstooled as the Nkosuohemaa (Development Queen) of Asuom.
The enstoolment ceremony, which will be held at Akyem Asuom in the Kwaebibirem Municipality in the Eastern Region, will attract dignitaries, chiefs and well-wishers across the country to Akyem Asuom to bestow the honour on Mrs Owusu-Ekuful.
According to the Chief of Asuom, Osabarima Ofosuhene Apenteng II, the first part of the traditional rituals will start at 9am on Saturday at the Chief’s Palace in Asuom.
