A distraught mother found her teenager daughter having group sex with four drug addicts while attempting to rescue her from a crack den. Neighbours living close to the ‘house of horror’, in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, described seeing the woman sobbing in the street after following her daughter to the property.

One witness told Grimsby Telegraph: ‘The woman knocked on my door in absolute hysterics. She knew her daughter was going to the house to buy drugs, so she came to the house to see if she was there. ‘When she arrived, she saw her daughter having sex with four different men and another barricaded the door so that she could not get in. ‘She knocked on my door, told me what was happening and her face was just pale white – it was heartbreaking.’

The den, based on Lindsey Street, was boarded up after a raid by Humberside Police earlier this year. Today, the windows and doors contain thick grills, while a large ‘closed’ sign has been taped to the front of the building.

Residents of the area expressed their happiness at the den being closed, having found the site to be a magnet for drug addicts and prostitutes in the past. One recalled: ‘They had no shame, they were just animals.

You see people laying on the ground with needles sticking out of their arms, and prostitutes would sit on your garden wall. ‘Big groups of up to 20 would take over the street, intimidating people. It was absolutely horrendous, just a nightmare.’ Humberside Police have vowed to continue to tackling antisocial behaviour in Scunthorpe, adding that the drugs den is the fifth house to be shut down by officers. They urged any witnesses to similar crimes taking place to get in touch.
