The 5th edition of the Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) is being hosted by Ghana and in an elaborate 4 day celebration which will be climaxed on Saturday, November 24, 2018.
According to the Minister for Tourism and Creative Arts, Catherine Afeku, there will be a business summit from 8am through to 5pm at the Kempinsky hotel today, November 22, 2018.
According to her, the business summit will see renowned musicians from the African Continent sharing their experiences on how to monetize the creative arts industry, explaining that speakers include South African songstress Yvonne Chakachaka among other high profile personalities.
She said Friday November 23, 2018, will see all the artistes perform at the independence square in what is dubbed the live up concert, saying the artistes from South Africa, Morocco, Kenya, Cameroon and Ghana will perform to the live audience.
The climax according to the Minister will be the Awards night where 36 distinguished artistes will take away the 36 awards for the entire Africa, saying it will be the Grammys of Africa.
