Dagbon united ahead of outdooring of new Yaa Naa tomorrow-Information Minister

The Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah says the Dagbon Kingdom has united head of the outdooring of the new Yaa Naa, Yoo Naa Abukari Mahama tomorrow Friday, January 25, 2019.

The Minister who is currently in the Northern Regional capital of Tamale as part of the advanced team of the government delegation to the outdooring of the new Yaa Naa said the Tamale township is a lovely scene to behold as the people feverishly prepare for the big day tomorrow.

‘’If you get to Tamale today as we speak, you will be amazed at the calm and lovely atmosphere that we are enjoying here. You won’t believe that these are brothers who have fought for decades. They are united and their differences have been buried and it is so heartwarming’’ the Minister said on Accra based Asempa Fm.

According to Mr. Oppong Nkrumah, president Akufo-Addo is expected in the regional capital later today and will have some official engagements today and early tomorrow before heading for the outdooring of the Yaa Naa.

According to him, all the necessary traditional rites have been performed, adding that tomorrow’s event is to formally outdoor the new overlord of the Dagbon Kingdom.

‘’We will have chiefs and traditional rulers from over 40 paramountcies attending the ceremony, the president of the National House of Chiefs Togbe Afede will be there, the committee of Eminent Chiefs led by the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will also be there. The National Peace Council and other different groups are all expected to grace the occasion’’ he said.
