The leadership of Christian Divine Church has donated assorted items and cash to the Municipal Government Hospital at Tarkwa to help the fight against the deadly Covid-19 pandemic outbreak.

The items, worth over 15,000 ghc include detergents, tissue paper, washing bowls, Veronica buckets, edibles and a cash amount of 10, 000 ghc.

In presenting the items and cash to the management of the hospital, the Chairman and Leader of the church, Apostle Ebenezer Boahen said that the church believes national crises are times for oneness, solidarity and a time to show love adding that it is the reason the church decided to show solidarity and to support the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his government in their efforts to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I am convinced that this benevolent act of the church will go a long way to help the hospital in embarking its task in the fight against the pandemic outbreak. In an unusual time like this, all that matters is love and giving which our Lord Jesus Christ incessantly taught us in His word”, he said.

Apostle Boahen urged all Ghanaians to ensure to remain loyal to the protocols laid down by the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation (WHO) and be committed to observing the hand hygiene, social distancing, wearing of nose masks, and all other protocols to prevent the spread of the virus.

Apostle E. Boahen (Chairman CDC) and Rev. A.A. Agyemang (Deputy Chairman) presenting the items and cash to Madam Victoria Peprah

The Deputy Director of Nursing Services at the hospital, Madam Victoria Peprah, in receiving the items on behalf of management, expressed a heartfelt appreciation to the leadership of the church for stretching a hand of love towards the facility in this time of national crisis.

She pleaded other churches and organisations to emulate what the Christian Divine Church has done to ease the burden on government in the fight against the Covid-19.
