Breaking News: GES dismisses 6 teachers for sexual misconduct, 3 for stealing and 1 for defilement

The Ghana Education Service has sanctioned 10 teachers for various offences including sexual misconduct, defilement and stealing.

Out of the number, 6 of the teachers were dismissed for sexual misconduct, 3 of them for stealing and 1 for defilement.

Those who were dismissed for stealing were already convicted by a court.

A statement issued by the Ghana Education Service and copied to BestNewsGH.com and dated 22nd November 2018, stated that the decision was taken after the teachers went through due process at all levels from the school through to the GES Council.

Signed by the Head of Public Relations Unit, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, the statement added that ‘’this is to serve as deterrent to others who have the intention of doing similar things.
