Between the two General Secretary aspirants of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah and Koku Anyidoho, the former is a necessary evil.

That is the view of the ruling New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Member of Parliament for the Assin Central Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.

He says in as much as he will not go for either men, he will vouch for the incumbent General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketiah who he believes is a necessary evil, if the only other alternative is Mr. Anyidoho.

‘’In spite of all the silly things and pronouncements he makes, I will go for Asiedu Nketiah because he is experienced and has a track record. Koku Anyidoho has no ‘sense’ and cannot be a general secretary. If Koku Anyidoho wins, the NDC will lose miserably. Koku Anyidoho has made Asiedu Nketiah a necessary evil’’ he said on an Accra based television station and monitored by BestNewsGH.com

The opposition National Democratic Congress will be holding its national delegates conference on Saturday November 17 2018 in Accra and the race for the party’s General Secretary position is fiercely contested by the incumbent, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah and the his deputy Koku Anyidoho.

Political watchers and analysts believe the slot is too close to call with some even predicting a win for Mr. Anyidoho.

Mr. Anyidoho seem to be giving his boss a run for his money, forcing Mr. Asiedu Nketiah to print election campaign posters for the first time since he assumed the reigns of chief scribe of the NDC over 12 years ago.
