The ten regional organisers of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the ten regions of the country are impressing upon the leadership of the party to appoint the Brong Ahafo regional organiser as the deputy national organiser of the party.

The Brong Ahafo regional organiser, Rasheed Konlaabig has been touted by his colleagues as a hard working, resourceful and ardent asset of the party who will make a great assistant to Mr. Sammi Awuku.

They believe his location in the Brong Ahafo Region is an added advantage as he will oversee the mobilisation of the party in the three Northern regions.

The dean of the NPP regional organisers Kwame Appiah Kodua who also doubles as the eastern regional organiser of the party told Accra based Okay Fm and monitored by BestNewsGH.com that the ten regional organisers have a tremendous measure of confidence in Mr. Konlaabig and are impressing upon the party leadership to consider appointing him as the deputy national organiser.

‘’We are also talking about a man that is humble and down-to-earth and will be perfectly compatible with Mr. Sammi Awuku to ensure that the party retains political power in 2020. This guy is well versed with special acumen in terms of mobilising party supporters, particularly the youth. So we are pleading with the party leadership that as we go for today’s joint national executive committee and national council meeting, they should consider this gentle man’’ he argued.

The ruling NPP will hold a joint National Executive Committee and National Council meeting today to consider certain names for appointment into the various vacant deputy national officer portfolios.
