Businessman and Politician, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong says Ghanaians should be shipped as slaves abroad to go and learn and gain exposure.

According to him, this is the only way Ghanaians can wake up from their backward mentality and help accelerate the pace of development in the country.

Mr. Agypong believes Ghanaians are gullible and vulnerable and fall victim to many social and financial scams because they do not have the requisite exposure that will help them make informed choices when they are confronted with critical matters that has the tendency to affect their lives.

Mr. Agyapong who is also the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region said ignorance, naivety and greed are to blame for the current situation that has rocked thousands of customers of gold trading firm Menzgold.

According to him, deliberate steps must be taken to educate and sensitize Ghanaians on such issues, adding that financial literacy in the country is lacking.
