Tamale Interchange is aimed at creating a more direct connection between the Kumasi-Tamale-Bolgatanga trunk roads.

The Project has already undergone some conceptual designs stages and will connect the Kumasi road from around the Dakpema Naa’s Palace through the Central Busuness District, around the Tamale Central Mosque and over the main Taxi rank to the Bolgatanga road and finally land around the Ahmadiya Central Mosque.

When completed, it will greatly minimise congestion around and within the Central Business District, reduce the massive pressure on some critical distributor/collector roads especially by heavy duty and cargo trucks.

Notwithstanding the significance of project spelt out in the above, the modernisation effect of this crucial project on the Metropolis cannot also not be discounted.

It will be aesthetically pleasing and give the Metropolis a more beautiful and modern outlook.
