Leading member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Sam P. Yalley has accused president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the ruling New Patriotic Party of collecting bribe from colonial masters to destroy the country.

The former Ghana Ambassador to India said ‘’ if you look at the destination of this country, it looks as if some people are being paid to destroy the country’’

He continued ‘’if you read the history of slavery, you will know that some countries have paid African countries to give us an educational system that does not give us the right quality of manpower we need.’’

Mr. Yalley who was speaking on an Accra based radio station and monitored by BestNewsGH.com said current happenings in the country’s educational sector points to the fact that the government of the day has been paid to destroy the educational system, in apparent reference to government’s free senior high school and double track policies.

‘’Otherwise why would you bring a policy that will say students should go and sit on the bare floor to study and if a teacher talks about it you threaten him or her with dismissal, how? he said.

‘’Again how will a school have chop boxes packed outside in the midst of snakes and other dangerous reptiles and you say that you giving education to everybody?’’ Mr. Yalley opined further.
