Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah has stated that his benevolence and magnanimity towards some leaders of the communications team (serial callers) in the regions earned him the titles Dynamic MP Bosomtwi Show boy.
According to him, this was at a time the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was in opposition while he was the party’s Member of Parliament for the Bosomtwi constituency.
Mr. Osei Mensah said one of the leaders of the serial callers Kwabena Nyame who has been very loud in the media accusing him of neglecting them and calling for his removal as regional minister was one of those that followed him about during that time.
‘’You can ask Kwabena Nyame, when I was MP for Bosomtwi and the party was in opposition and they followed me everywhere and gave me the names dynamic MP and Bosomtwi show boy, I took care of them. So are they telling me it is now that the party is in power that I will neglect them?’’ he queried.
According to the regional Minister, should the president decide to relieve him of his post, he will willingly go, but will ensure that he leaves unblemished, adding that his credentials as an anti-corruption crusader are still very intact and remain virtues he will never compromise.
