The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region seems to be returning to normalcy after the bitter rancour and acrimony that characterised the regional delegates conference recently.

The two contenders who were vying for the regional chairmanship slot and whose supporters were at each other’s throats in the lead up to the regional delegate’s conference have smoked the peace pipe in their quest to unite the party for election 2020.

Joseph Yammin and Augustus Nana Kwasi yesterday (Sunday) met and ate together at a party thrown by Mr. Yammin for NDC members in the region.

They both exhibited the spirit of frankness, openness and candour as they dined, wined and discussed the way forward to the party in the region as election 2020 beckons.

The elected regional Chairman, Augustus Nana Kwasi took to his Facebook page to announce the reunion, writing ‘’The Victory of the NDC is coming again come 2020. Today I joined my brother, Hon. Joseph Yammin as he organised a party for NDC members here in Ashanti region. We have only one NDC and nothing more. Together we stand! Together we stand!! Together we stand!!!’’.

Mr. Yammin used the occasion to reiterate his commitment to the NDC brand and his undying desire to help return the party to power in 2020.

He promised his absolute commitment to agenda 2020 and called on all members of the party to unite in order to present a united front for victory for the party.
