Customs Commander for Northern Region set to retire in style as he exceeds revenue target by 200%

The Commander of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) for the Northern Region, Assistant Commissioner (AC) Mr. Paul Kwesi Ahiakpor is perhaps going to be the happiest Man to retire from the service in style.

This is because he has achieved what BestNewsGH.com investigations reveal is a very enviable feat never achieved by any customs officer yet.

Under his leadership, the Tamale Collection of the Customs Division has exceeded its annual revenue target by a whopping 200 percent.

A Memo signed by the Commissioner of the Customs Division, Col. Kwadwo Damoah retired and copied to all Sector Commanders and dated 6th November 2019 and intercepted by BestNewsGH.com indicates that the Tamale Collection was given an annual revenue target of 78 Million Ghana Cedis.

As of 24th October 2019, the Collection had made a colossal revenue collection of 162.80 Million Ghana Cedis, culminating in a positive variation of 84.77 Million Ghana Cedis.

This means that in percentage terms, the Collection did 208 percent more than it was expected to do.

Mr. Ahiakpor who retires at the end of November 2019, when contacted for his comment on this development, attributed the enviable feat to collective teamwork.

He commended his men for their dedication and commitment to duty and for working hard to ensure that the Tamale Collection becomes the best Collection in the country.

‘’I congratulate my gallant men for their dedication to duty, their commitment and hardwork. Indeed I am going home a very happy and proud man. Its been several decades of dedicated service to Mother Ghana and I couldn’t have ended it on a better note’’ he averred.
