Some 12 thousand customers of defunct micro finance company DKM across the country are yet to receive payments of their deposits from government.
This is because they have not been able to put together all the necessary documents that will prove their eligibility to receive the payments.
Minister for Finance Ken Ofori Attah said on Accra based Peace Fm that the monies have been secured and that what is remaining is for the depositors to prove their identity and eligibility by providing documents to show they actually deposited with the company.
The Minister during the 2019 budget and government economic policy statement presentation in parliament yesterday, November 15 2018 said about 80 percent of customer of the company across the country have received their payments.
He assured that as and when the remaining 12 thousand depositors are able to prove their eligibility, their monies will be paid to them.
