New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Manhyia North Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Collins Owusu Amankwah has justified president Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s decision to appoint 110 ministers to help him run the affairs of the country.

According to him, Ghanaians should be grateful to the president for choosing to work with ‘only’ one hundred and ten (110) ministers, adding that in Malaysia, the office of the Prime Minister alone has more than thirty four thousand (34, 000) staff.

Mr. Owusu Amankwah who is not enthused about the incessant reference to the huge number ministers appointed by the president to run the affairs of the country by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) sought to justify the fact that Ghana’ situation was not the worst after all.

In his opinion, the president has not been limited by any law in the country that inhibits or prohibits him from working with a particular number of people if that is what will help him achieve his vision for the country.

He wants Ghanaians and the opposition NDC in particular to channel their energies into discussing what he describes as productive and more important things that will help move the country forward, rather than continuously dwelling on frivolous issues.
