The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawmumia has earned accolades from the Senior Minister, Yaw Osafo Maafo, for his exceptional and sterling performance as head of Ghana’s Economic Management Team (EMT).
BestNewsGH.com reports the Senior Minister as saying the progress the country has made so far, in terms of the management of the economy is as a result of the excellent performance of the Vice President.
Mr. Osafo Maafo described Dr. Bawumia as someone who is not an armed-chair head of the Economic Management Team, but one who takes interest in the activities of other members of the team, while exhibiting unmatched leadership, culminating in the efficient and effective performance of the economy.
In a video sighted by BestNewsGH.com, the Senior Minister averred that ‘’Bawumia is a chairman who is so involved in the work of [everyone else]. He works like a member, like a secretary. Sterling quality! Professionally excellent! So we are where we are because Dr Bawumia is putting up a very professional chairmanship to the EMT. And I pray that we continue to work together as a team.”
Dr. Bawumia, since his assumption of duty as Head of the Economic Management Team in 2017, has championed various landmark initiatives, especially the single window concept at the country’s ports as well as leading efforts to turn Ghana’s economy into a cash-less one through digitization.
