Nana Yeboah Asiamah Kusi, the chief of Ahwiaa in the Kwabre East Municipality of the Ashanti Region has called on government to prioritise tarring the road from Ahwiaa to Kenyasi before embarking on any other project in the area.

Speaking on Alpha Radio in Kumasi and monitored by BestNewsGH.com, Nana Asiamah Kusi opined that tarring the stretch from the Ahwiaa market linking Kenyasi will pave way for accelerated development of the area.

According to him, failure to attend to the road may breed complacency among voters in the area, many of whom may refuse to vote in the 2020 elections.

“That road is our priority among the other projects” . Nana added.

Addressing the Member of Parliament for the area, Francisca Oteng Mensah and the Mayor of Kumasi, Nana Osei Assibey Bonsu directly, the chief impressed upon them take the tarring of the project seriously as it remains dear to the people of Ahwiaa.
