Teachers in Breman Ochisoa D/A Basic School in the Asikuma Odobeng Brakwa District of the Central Region have threatened to boycott classes if the community members don’t stop easing themselves in their classrooms.

The teachers upon reaching the school Monday morning were met by the strong smell emanating from the classrooms only for them to find faeces all over the floor of the learning place.

A teacher speaking on condition of anonymity to Kasapa FM News Yaw Boagyan that, said this was not the first time the residents had engaged in such a condemnable act.

He said a letter was sent to the District Education Office about the development but nothing has been done about it, adding that the Chiefs have also been informed but no action has been taken.

“We the Teachers in the Ochisoa D/A Basic School will not let our pupils clean the messed up classrooms. We will wait until the community members come with their brooms and brushes to clean the mess themselves while we learn under tress. We suspect that the people intentionally did so based on how they have eased themselves in almost all the classrooms. The community members sometimes break the padlocks in our washrooms and the Classroom and ease themselves there, a situation that affects Teaching and Learning.

He added: “We are calling on the Chiefs and the Asikuma Odobeng Brakwa Education Directorate to do something about the situation, else we will boycott classes till they stop their bad behavior.”
