Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Builsa South Constituency in the Upper East Region, Dr. Clement Apaak has responded to the Chairman of the National Peace Council, Most Rev. Professor Emmanuel Asante’s call for former president John Dramani Mahama to apologise for saying the NDC will match the NPP boot-for-boot.

According to him, boot-for-boot is the only option available to the NDC, explaining that they party will protect itself against state-sponsored terrorism.

The former presidential staffer says president Akufo-Addo must squarely be blamed for the violence that erupted at the Bawaleshie park in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency during yesterday’s by-election, leaving some 6 people injured.

‘’Rev. Asante says JM should apologise, for stating that we shall protect ourselves against government sponsored state terrorism? Please! The President is responsible for the lawlessness and impunity in Ghana today. If Rev. Asante is incapable of calling a spade a spade, afraid to speak truth to power, he should stop worrying our ears. Self-preservation is the essence of every lifeform! We will protect ourselves. Boot for Boot’’ he said.
