The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for the Builsa South Constituency in the Upper East Region, Dr. Clement Apaak says the party is fully aware of the hit list of the ruling New Patriotic Party with regards to attacking its members and officials.

According to him, the recent happenings in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency in which some violence broke out during the just ended by-election and the assault on the NDC’s National Communications Officer in the studios of Asempa Fm are a manifestation of the grand plot by the ruling party to silence the opposition.

The former presidential staffer said such acts and attacks will not cow them into submission and will not stop them from calling attention to the hardship and mis-governance of the country by the current administration.

‘’By way, we are fully aware of the NPP hit list. Be assured that it will not stop us from speaking out and calling attention to the hardship, deceit and misgovernance under the NPP family, friends and business associates government’’ he said in a write-up questioning the silence of the National Peace Council and moral and civil society on the recent happenings.

‘’ Wait! The Peace Council is rather worried that John Mahama, the obvious choice of the NDC to lead us to free our nation from oppression has indicated that we in the opposition NDC will defend ourselves against government sponsored state terrorism/brutally? Let the see no evil, speak no evil and hear no evil hypocratic brigade know that it’s boot for boot! We will not be sitting ducks’’ he added.
