The new Yaa Naa, Abukari Mahama has appaled to president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to seal his enviable achievement of restoring peace to Dagbon with a befitting palace for the overlord of the Dagbon Kingdom, the Yaa Naa.

Yaa Naa Abukari whose speech at his investiture was read for him at the forecourt of the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi, said the new palace will in no small measure compliment the president’s efforts of making the Dagbon Kingdom great once again.

‘’I earnestly appeal to you to build a palace for Dagbon. Your provision of a palace for the Yaa Naa will be a great supplement to the great achievement you have already chalked by uniting Dagbon. Dagbon is forever grateful to your Excellency’’ he said.

According to him, Dagbon will forever and eternally remain grateful to president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his fortitude, vision and determination to restore peace in the Dagbon Kingdom.

He pledged to be fair and just to all who live in Dagbon irrespective of their political, religious, traditional and ethnic background, promising to be a father to all.

‘’Let me assure all the people of Dagbon that for the rest of my active life, be it long or short, I will be devoted to the service of Dagbon. I shall endeavor to uphold the dignity and pride of Dagbon, I shall uphold the customs and traditions of Dagbon, I shall strengthen the good and fair relations Dagbon has with all its neighbors, traditional rulers and beyond’’ he added.
