VP Bawumia joins National Chief Imam for his 101st Birthday; says he’s a rare asset to Ghana

The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia today, Thursday, April 23, 2020 joined the National Chief Imam, Sheik Dr. Nuhu Osumanu Sharabutu at his Fadama residence to mark his 101st Birthday.

The Vice President’s call which was a surprise visit, saw him extend the felicitations of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and himself to the revered Islamic Scholar and cleric.

BestNewsGH.com reports the Vice President as saying ‘’ Sheikh Sharubutu is a rare asset to Ghana. He has contributed immensely to the peace and unity we enjoy in this country. Even at 101, he continues to play significant roles in the development of our country.’’

Dr. Bawumia used the opportunity to pray for good health and long life for the National Chief Imam.

The occasion was also used to cut a cake to mark the 101st milestone of the National Chief Imam.
