Residents of the Lawra Constituency in the Upper West Region are highly impressed with the work of their Member of Parliament, Anthony Abayifaa Karbo, just midterm into his tenure.

They praise the MP who also doubles as the deputy Minister for Roads and Highways for his employment generation drive, arguing that it is unprecedented in the history of the constituency for over 280 people, to secure sustainable jobs within such a short period.

One of the constituents who couldn’t hide his admiration for the hard working young MP wrote ‘’Within his first one and half years as Member of Parliament, Hon. Anthony Abayifaa Karbo’s records are very unprecedented. Over 280 people, mainly our uneducated parents, across the municipality got jobs with the forestry commission alone, talkless of those with professional certificates (educated ones)’’.

Beyond the Forestry Commission, the residents say the MP has also secured jobs for them in other sectors of the economy as well.

They are also excited about the MP’s regular visits to the constituency, adding that his office in the constituency can easily pass for the most vibrant MP constituency office in the entire country, as it is always bubbling with one activity or the other.

They believe with the support of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the area, Bomba-Ire Martin and the leadership of the ruling New patriotic Party in the  Lawra Constituency, the area will soon witness development in leaps and bounds.
