UWR: Jirapa District Health Directorate Places ban on use of Mobile phones by health professionals while on duty

The Jirapa District Health Directorate of the Ghana Health Service has banned the use of Mobile phones by health professionals while on duty.

A Memo announcing the ban and signed by the District Director of Health, Florence Angsowine said the practice impacted negatively on the clients (patients) who visit these facilities.

“With effect from 1st August 2019, all staffs are banned from the use of Mobile phones whiles on duty and any staff who is caught using a mobile phone, severe sanctions will be meted out to the staff in accordance to the Ghana Health Service Code of conduct and disciplinary action” the memo read in part.
