Newly returned pilgrims who made it to this year’s hajj from the Lawra constituency in the Upper West Region have paid a courtesy call on the Member of Parliament for the constituency and Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways, Anthony Abayifaa Karbo at his office in Lawra.

Their main purpose for the visit was to thank the MP for the support he offered them by sponsoring them to Mecca and back.

They said they were happy to have him as their MP, and that what he has done was very unprecedented in the history of the constituency.

They offered special prayers for him, His father Naa Puowelle Karbo III who is the paramount chief of the Lawra traditional area, the MCE Hon. Bomba-Ire Martin, the President H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the entire constituents of Lawra and the country at large.

They added that, just about 20 months on the seat as MP for the area, he has proven beyond doubt that, if he gets more than one term in parliament by representing the good people of Lawra, the Municipality will never be the same and the beneficiaries will be the entire constituents of Lawra.

They thanked him for all the projects he has initiated so far which are at various stages of completion with others yet to commence, including the construction of the bridge that will link Ghana with neighboring Burkina Faso.

They prayed that Allah Almighty will grant him good health, strength and a heart to accommodate everybody even those who will be working hard to detract his efforts.

The Hon. MP thanked them for the recognition and appreciation and encouraged them to continue to pray for him as he has a lot of good plans for the constituents especially on the development of the Municipality.

He entreated them to be patient as he works hard to improve and enhance the development of the constituency, adding that he has a lot of good surprises for them.
