UWR: 15 year old boy suspected to have COVID-19 escapes from quarantine in Nandom

Police in the Upper West Region are on a manhunt for a suspected COVID-19  patient who is 15 years old and have escaped from a quarantine centre in Nandom.

The  boy, Titus Maabang after falling sick on Saturday May 2, 2020, was admitted at the St. Theresa Hospital in Nandom, where he was subsequently diagnosed with the virus.

BestNewsGH.com has sighted a statement from the police in the Region declaring the patient missing and that frantic efforts are being made to find him.

The statement said a test was conducted on the patient and that the results were being processed when he escaped from the facility.

Workers of the hospital, BestNewsGH.com is told are in a state of fear, particularly staff who were exposed to the patient.
