It has emerged that killers of the Marketing and Public Affairs Manager of the Tema Port Josephine Asante did not steal any item from her home even though several valuables were displayed in her room and were glaring enough to attract attention.

The deceased’s 12 year old son told the General Manager in charge of Administration at the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority Sandra Oppoku who is currently at the home of the slain manager that their mother had laptops, jewelry, phones and other accessories that were exposed in the room, but none of them were taken by the perpetrators.

The turn of events gives an indication that the murder could have been contracted by unknown persons.

Madam Josephine Asante was stabbed to death in her home at Community 25 in Tema.

A source with knowledge about the incident said she was attacked and killed in her bedroom soon after she returned from a Senior Staff Party yesterday, Saturday January 12, 2019 in the night.

The source said after killing the victim, the perpetrators locked her inside the bedroom and threw the key into the compound.

The deceased’s children are said to have discovered the body after they did not see her in the morning and tried opening her door, but found it locked and the keys later found in the compound.

Upon opening the door, the children discovered her body in a pool of blood and raised an alarm, drawing neighbors to the scene.

Staff of the Ghana Port and Harbours Authority are currently at her residence awaiting the arrival of the police to convey the body to the morgue.
