Tonnes of garbage take over portions of East Legon

Tonnes of garbage have taken over parts of the plush east legon area, making life unbearable and uncomfortable for residents.

For example, just 10 meters away from the Mempe Asem cemetery in East Legon, tonnes of garbage, made up of predominantly plastic bottles have taken over a spot that can easily pass for a drainage.

Residents seem to have come to their wits end as they tell this website all attempts to get local authorities to help rid the place of filth has gone unheeded.

They say they have made several visits to the local Assembly and spoken with them all to no avail.

‘’At this juncture, we are only praying that they will come as they have promised so that we can get some relief. We fear for the health of our children. This situation is too dire’’ one of the leaders in the area told BestNewsGH.com
