Former Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Allotey Jacobs has eulogised the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as a man equipped with the capacity, ability and expertise to change the dynamics of the country and change its trajectory to that of complete transformation.

According to the vociferous NDC communicator, there is something about the Vice President that is extra-ordinary.

Mr. Jacobs who was contributing to a discussion on Accra based Peace Fm during the Station’s flagship Morning Show Programme dubbed Kokrokoo and hosted by ace broadcaster Kwame Sefa Kayi, also known Chairman General, said Dr. Bawumia remains the best person to bring about absolute transformation of the country on all fronts.

The discussion which centred on recent happenings in the NDC in which a flagbearership contender, Dr. Kwabena Duffour has sought an injunction on the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary Primaries of the party, saw Mr. Jacobs reiterating his firm and resolute support for the Vice President, saying ‘’I am not an NPP. I will not support NPP, but I will support Nana Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. There is something about Dr. Bawumia that is extra-ordinary.’’

The educated fisherman, as Mr. Jacobs is popularly known, averred further that ‘’As a politician, sometimes you are whipped in line to support your party but no, sometimes, you look at the personality. That personality should be above the political party and can change the dynamics of this country. There is none that fits into this category than the current Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.’’

On the current turbulence in the NDC, Mr. Jacobs averred that the dark horses in the Party were at their witty best and have set up a trap for Dr. Kwabena Duffour; a trap he has fallen into.

Mr. Allotey Jacobs who described the NDC Presidential Primaries as a One-Way Traffic explained that the said dark horses in the NDC deliberately orchestrated the issues that drove Dr. Duffour and his team to Court, arguing that the flagbearership aspirant and his team fell into the trap by actually going to court.

He said by going to court, Dr. Duffour is ‘finished’ in the NDC.

‘’The NDC election is a one-way traffic. It is in 2024 when Dr. Bawumia wins the election that we shall see the direction of the NDC. But so far as we are concerned now, it is a one-way traffic’’ he opined.
