My Story

On the 30th of March 2019, a day after CPF Nite Of Healing Service, I had to travel to Koforidua for the funeral service of a Colleague’s mum, Mrs Grace Yamoah .

When I got there, I spotted the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost Apostle Eric Nyamekye and that was my first time of seeing him in person.

It was announced that he will officiate the burial service at the grave yard or cemetery.

Normally I don’t miss the cemetery when I mourn with loved ones.

We got there, and he was there with his pastors singing the song, “yere ko man papa bi “which translates: “we are going to a better land ……”, whiles waiting for the rest of the family. I joined them and we were all waiting.

Whiles the singing was going on , another family brought a body for burial just behind us , but I realized he was quite distracted and I thought he wanted to wait till they buried theirs so we don’t disturb them because we were waiting for the family of Mrs Grace Yamoah.

To my surprise, after talking to the second family, he said that the other person was also a member of the Church Of Pentecost so they should join us and after we are done with that of the person he came to bury, we will join them and then he will bury the other person too.

I was surprised!

I was touched!

It ministered to me!

It proved that indeed he is a man Of God and has definitely been called to lead the sheep or his people.

I don’t think he knew the deceased or the family (I may be wrong) but I quote him, ‘they are both members of the Church of Pentecost and I can’t bury one and leave the other “.

This is a true quality of a leader. He serves all without looking at faces or social status.

Sir, you earned my admiration by that simple act of selflessness.

As busy as he may be, it would have been very normal and ok to have waved or given a handshake and then moved on.

Ayekoo Onyame Nipa.

I salute your in-depth knowledge in the assignment and the calling.

I will share this testimony with the members of THE CHRISTIAN PROFESSIONAL’S Fellowship, CPF and the world.

It also points to the fact that with God all things are possible. If the dead person wished for the impossible; that their chairman should bury him, The God of Possibilities made it happen in a Miraculous and strange way.

Indeed with God all things are possible.

Apostle Eric Nyamekye

You deserve to lead your people.

May the Lord help you to accomplish your assignment.
