The National Teaching Council has announced that the results of the licensure examination which was recently taken will be released in the middle of October 2018 while the next examination is slated to be conducted in January 2019.
A statement issued by the council acknowledged the success of the first examination and admitted that there were some teething challenges including delays in starting the exam as well as rumours of leakage of examinations questions.
The statement signed by Ekow Vincent Assafuah, Head of the Public Relations Unit of the Ministry of Education revealed that 24, 687 diploma students, 3, 885 first degree holders, 7 master’s degree holders and 187 post graduate diploma in education students took part in the licensure examination.
The statement assured that the National Teaching Council is committed to conducting the licensure examinations in the most professional manner possible, to ensure that teachers in Ghana operate in accordance with international best practices.
