Spare parts dealer donates GHS100,000 to COVID-19 Trust Fund

A popular spare parts dealer at Abbossey Okai, Mr. Emmanuel Bright Obeng Nyarko, popularly known as Great Kofata has donated GHS 100,000 to the COVID-19 National Trust Fund.

The Businessman who is the Managing Director Director of KOFATA MOTORS made the donation through a representative during a briefing by the Ministry of Information on the COVID-19 pandemic.

BestNewsGH.com reports him as saying the gesture was in response to the call by the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for private sector players to support in kind and in cash to help in the fight against the pandemic.

BestNewsGH.com can confirm that the donation was done on Sunday, March 29, 2020.

The COVID-19 National Trust Fund was established by President Akufo-Addo to assist in the welfare of the needy and the vulnerable as the country battles the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Board of Trustees of the Fund is chaired by former Chief Justice, Sophia Akuffo.

The other members of the Board are Archbishop Justice Ofei Akrofi, Mr Jude Kofi Bucknor, Gifty Afenyi-Dadzie, Mrs Elsie Addo-Awadzie, Dr Ernest Ofori-Sarpong and Dr Tanko. Mr Collins Asare is the Secretary to the Board.
