The iconic and charismatic National Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Sammi Awuku has shared his birthday which falls today, April 10, with the less privileged in society.
This year, he spent time with orphans at the Our Faith in the Lord orphanage and the Good Shepherd Outreach both at Akwatia in the Eastern Region.
It has been a yearly routine for the NPP National Organiser to extend his magnanimity, generosity and love to the under privileged in society every year when he marks his birthday.
Speaking to BestNewsGH.com after the donations, Mr. Awuku said it was his way of first of all thanking God for the numerous blessings He has bestowed on him and his family and secondly to touch the lives of those in need.
‘’It is a blessing to have the gift of life from the Lord Almighty and once I have health and strength, there is no better way to say thank you to Him for His blessings. I find joy in spending time with these little ones who through no fault of theirs, find themselves here. We have prayed together and I have assured them that they will not be consigned to their predicament perpetually’’ he said.
Mr. Awuku also impressed upon public spirited institutions and individuals to lend a helping hand to the less fortunate in society in order to make the world a beautiful place for all to live in.
He was accompanied on the mission by musicians, Capture, Wutah Kobby, D Crime and Praye who performed to show love to the orphans.
