Sammi Awuku, Perry Okudezto storm Volta Region; tours border towns and registration centres

The National Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr. Sammi Awuku and the Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, Mr. Perry Kwabla Okudzeto over the weekend stormed the Volta Region to monitor the ongoing voter registration exercise.

The visit took the duo and their team comprising of the NPP UK Organiser, Kwame Boateng, Deputy NPP Director of Communications Kofi Agyepong, the Volta Regional NPP Chairman Makafui Woanya and some Regional executives of the party to the various border towns and registration centres.

The hardworking and charismatic NPP National Organiser who also doubles as the Board Chairman for the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) was highly impressed with the performance of the Party’s regional and constituency leadership for putting in extra efforts to ensure people who have attained the voting age, turn out in their numbers to register.

‘’Kudos to our Party leadership in the Region and the various constituencies for their extraordinary performance in ensuring that only qualified Ghanaians who have attained the age of eighteen and above get registered’’ Capo as the NPP National Orgniser is widely known averred.

Mr. Awuku added that ‘Their resilience and determination is simply admirable.
At some centers we were bold to state the NPP position that “We Want fairness to prevail and won’t compromise on our resolve to ensure we have a credible VOTERS REGISTER”.


”We were also clear that we won’t countenance any form of intimidation on our Agents and executives anywhere across the country as they go about their lawful duties’’.

The team while monitoring the exercise, used the occasion to educate and sensitise registrants and applicants on the need to adhere to and observe all the safety protocols regarding COVID-19.

The visit covered the Ho Central, through to Ho West, Afadzato, Kpando, North Dayi and South Dayi constituencies.
