North East Region NPP welcomes President Akufo-Addo to the region

The president of the Republic of Ghana will on Tuesday the 28th July 2020 pay a working visit to the North East Region.

Whilst in the region the president will pay a courtesy call on the overlord of the Mamprugu Kingdom after which he will commission the Nalerigu water supply system and also cut sod for the construction of the Regional office of the Youth Employment Authority. The President may also make time to meet the Regional Party Executives and other opinion leaders.

Fortunately, the visit comes at the time the Nana Akufo-Addo’s government has successfully implemented flagship programs that have offered and afforded some level of comfort to the poor in society, notable among which are the Free SHS and the Planting for Food and Jobs.

Let it be known to all that the region has taken full advantage of the government’s flagship programs particularly the Planting for Food and Jobs, a social intervention policy intended to create jobs and forestall food unsecurity.

The NPP is focused on winning all the seats in the region as a token of our appreciation to NPP government for creating the North-East Region. On this note, no amount of propaganda by the NDC effortlessly articulated will derail from the prime focus of winning all the seats in the region, and also voting massively for the NPP to continue with its good policies for the Ghanaian people.

We will, as a Region not even remotely, dangle the possibility of a John Mahama return. The NDC has absolutely nothing good to offer to the people of the Region in particular and Ghana in general.
The NDC has pretentiously held on to the position that it has enviably “infrastructure credentials” in the region. This claim of superior infrastructure records in the region is but a hoax that can only find expression in green books. No wonder they failed to take the challenge thrown to them to, at our expense, avail themselves for us to embark on a tour of the region to compare infrastructure records.

We are wide awake and conscious of the fact that a return of the NDC is just like the biblical account of Apostle Paul’s journey to Damascus. The motive was to kill and persecute Christians. A return of the NDC is to create, loot and share. Never again!

The NPP will eternally be grateful to Nana Akufo-Addo for the unshakable confidence he has in our brother the vice president. This is the 4th time the president has selected the vice president to be his running mate. On his part, the vice president has demonstrated beyond every doubt that he is up to the task. No wonder he is the biggest discomfiture to the NDC.

Long live Ghana, long live the North East Region, long live NPP

Sulley Sambian

North-East Regional Secretary
