Sammi Awuku lauds COVID-19 Private Sector Fund for continuing to feed thousands amid lockdown

The hardworking National Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Sammi Awuku has singled out the Ghana COVID-19 Private Sector Fund for praise for their continuous show of love and care to the vulnerable in society amid the lockdown.

The charming and towering NPP National Organiser who is playing a key role in the team by joining them to distribute food and other essentials to the poor, the homeless and Kayaye in particular is grateful to the fund for the initiative to compliment government efforts at fighting the pandemic.

Mr. Awuku who also doubles as the Board Chairman of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) commended the great spirit, love and passion with which the team from the Fund are going about their work of supporting the vulnerable in society.

The quintessential NPP National Organiser took to his Facebook Page and wrote:

Good job to the Ghana COVID 19 Private Sector Fund on your support to the poor, Kayayo and the homeless!

Thanks for complimenting Government’s efforts in these difficult times!

The COVID-19 Private Sector Fund, being championed by Ms. Julie Essiam, the Commissioner for Support Services at the Ghana Revenue Authority has been at the forefront of feeding thousands of Kayaye, the poor and the homeless in Accra and Kumasi.

As of Friday April 4 2020, the team had fed in excess of Twenty Six (26) Thousand people. Currently, BestNewsGH.com is informed the figure has plummeted to more than Seventy (70) Thousand.

Ms. Essiam in an earlier interview with BestNewsGH.com opined that the exercise would be sustained until such a time that the lockdown is lifted.

She invited public spirited individuals and organizations to donate generously to the fund to enable them alleviate the suffering of the less privileged in society.
