Head of Corporate Communications at the Ghana Gas Company, Ernest Owusu Bempah has described as propaganda, rumors that dumsor will be visited on the country again very soon.

According to him, Ghanaians should ignore such rumors as they are mere propaganda by the opposition and disgruntled elements to discredit the Akufo-Addo led government and make it unpopular.

‘’I want to state emphatically that dumsor is not coming back. When we came the previous administration was doing 95 million cubic feet of Gas, but have increased it to 350 million cubic feet of Gas and so as for dumsor we will never experience it in Ghana ever again’’ he said on Accra based Asempa Fm.

Mr. Owusu Bempah said the company under the leadership of renowned gas engineer, Dr. Ben Asante has instituted prudent management that has allowed for constant and uninterrupted supply of gas to facilitate power generation.

He said the company has also put in place, mechanisms for constant maintenance of its equipment and machines to ensure that they don’t breakdown.

‘’This is one of the key areas the president is keen at and he has a keen eye on that. To ensure that there is efficiency and constant delivery. And even the energy ministry too, they also monitor us regularly to ensure nothing goes amiss, plus the prudent contingency plan that we have rolled out and so definitely, there is no way we are going have dumsor again in this country’’ he said.
