Revealed: Martin Amidu submits 359 million cedi budget for SP office

Information reaching BestNewsGH.com is that the Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu has submitted a budget of 359 million Ghana Cedis for the operations of his office.

Ruling New Patriotic Party Member of Parliamnet for the Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong who made the revelation described the figure as too astronomical.

He questioned what the budget for the office of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice is, saying the special prosecutors’ budget cannot exceed that of the Ministry under which it operates.

‘’Martin Amidus’ office is there but I hear the budget he has brought for his office is 359 million Ghana cedis. Even the Attorney General, how much is her budget?’’ he asked.

The MP cum businessman who from the unset was against the choice of Mr. Amidu as the Special Prosecutor seems excited as he believes he has been vindicated saying ‘’Albatross, I am extremely excited, I am very very happy things are panning out this way’’
