The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Builsa South Constituency in the Upper East Region, Dr. Clement Apaak has described former rector of GIMPA, Prof. Stephen Adei as a disgrace and one whose hypocrisy is limitless.

According to him, the same Prof. Adei who was on the rooftops name-calling the John Dramani Mahama led administration and accusing it of corruption and other practices now seem oblivious of happenings in the current Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led government.

According to the former presidential staffer, Prof. Adei is now in cahoots with ruling NPP government and seems to be on a praise-singing spree, inspite of the several ill-happenings within government and the country at large.

‘’Prof. Adei over the years made all kinds of baseless allegations against JM and his appointees when our party was in power. I had assumed that having been rewarded by NADAA for maligning JM and his government, he would have stopped his concocted allegations, but no’’ he said.

Dr. Apaak continued ‘’ Prof. Adei seems oblivious to current alleged acts of corruption. He has no problem with the appointment of 111 Ministers, 998 Presidential Staffers, shiploads of CEOS and heads of Agencies. But why should Prof. Adei care about rot under the NPP, he is no longer just a citizen but a Government appointee, chairman of our National Development Planning Commission (NDPC)’’.

According to him, the current government has appointed an unprecedented numbers of family and friends to various positions in government and the public sector, adding that it is the most nepotistic government in the history of Ghana.
