Police confirms arrest of NAM1 in Dubai, Ghanaian officials visit him in custody

The Ghana police Service have confirmed the arrest of Nana Appiah Mensah, the embattled Chief Executive Officer of Gold Trading Firm Menzgold in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

A statement issued by the police service confirming the arrest a while ago said NAM1 as the Menzgold CEO is popularly called was arrested on the 7th of December 2018 and is being tried for an offence in relation to a gold trading deal that has gone bad in that country.

The statement which is signed by the Director of public affairs of the Ghana Police Service, ACP David Eklu said Ghanaian officials in the United Arab Emirates has visited NAM1 in custody and that they are collaborating with authorities in that country on how to ensure that he is brought into the country after they are done with him.
