The National Treasurer of the People’s National Convention (PNC) Mr. Akane Adabengba has been caught red handed, after forging the signature of the Party’s General Secretary, Jacob Kwame Amoako to procure United Kingdom (UK) visas for six people.
BestNewsGH.com can report that the embattled National Treasurer in a letter dated 5th September 2019, applied for the visas stating they were party officials who were delegated by the Party to the UK to begin the process and conduct feasibility studies for the take off of the Representation of the People’s Amendment Act (ROPAA), by the Electoral Commission.
But luck eluded Mr. Adabengba after the UK embassy wrote to the PNC National chairman, Mr. Bernard Mornah to confirm the authenticity of the request for the visas.
It emerged that the party had not taken any such decision to send any delegation to the UK for the stated purpose and that the embattled National Treasurer was allegedly engaging in visa fraud.
