Peace Fm reporter, Oheneba Kennedy dead

BestNewsGH.com can report that the media fraternity has been thrown into a state of mourning following the passing of popular reporter of Accra based Peace FM, Oheneba Kennedy.

BestNewsGH.com can confirm that Oheneba Kennedy who was based at Akina Radio in Techiman in the Bono East Regional Capital passed on at the Emergency Centre of the Sunyani Municipal Hospital on Thursday December 26, 2019.

Sister of the deceased, who also doubles as the family spokesperson Lauretta Kuunyen, confirmed the sad passing of the popular reporter to the media.

She said in an interview with the media that “He was in Techiman. Actually we didn’t know he was sick. On Tuesday, we called his line throughout the day but he never answered …so Wednesday morning, my mum asked me to go check on him. It was after I arrived in his house that I realized his condition had deteriorated so I brought him to Sunyani and we rushed him to the Municipal hospital where he died at the Emergency Centre.’’

At age 41, Oheneba Kennedy until his death was also a student at the Techiman Campus of the Valley View University, where he was studying Human Resource Management.

His body has since been deposited at the Sunyani Municipal Hospital’s morgue awaiting autopsy.
