One week observation in honour of late GPHA General Manager slated for tomorrow

The Family of the late General Manager in charge of the Tema Fishing Harbour of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, Mr. Kumi Adjei-Sam has scheduled tomorrow, Saturday November 2, 2019 for a one week observation in his honour.

Information gathered from the family by BestNewsGH.com indicates that the event will be held at the First Baptist Church in Tema, starting from 8am.

The Maritime industry in Ghana was dealt a severe blow on Sunday October 20, 2019 following the confirmation of the passing of Mr. Kumi Adjei-Sam, popularly known as Castro.

News of his passing threw the entire industry in a state of grief and mourning.

He was said to have been rushed to the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, formally Ridge Hospital after collapsing at his home on Friday October 18, 2019.

Mr. Adjei-Sam joined the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority in the 1980s and has served in various managerial positions in both the Tema and Takoradi Ports including Port Personnel and Admin Manager among others.

He was said to be due for retirement in a year or two.
