Government has launched the One Constituency-One Akufo-Addo flat initiative aimed at reducing the housing deficit across the country.

The policy will see all 275 constituencies across the country get housing units as an add up to already existing housing projects currently ongoing.

This means that every constituency is entitled to a flat in the name of the president.

The initiative which was launched yesterday, May 14 2019 according to Joy News is expected to deal with the housing deficit facing the country.

The policy adds to the many ‘policies of ones’ which have been rolled out by the Akufo-Addo led administration since assuming office.

Already, there are the One-District, One Factory, One Constituency, One Artificial Pitch and the One Village, One Dam policies.

Also, quite recently government rolled out the One Constituency, One Ambulance policy to cater for the shortage of ambulances in the country.

Meanwhile, Ghanaians on social media remain divided over the introduction of the one constituency, one flat policy. While some believe it is a good initiative, others also hold that this is another wasteful venture being embarked by the government.
