NR: government imposes 6 to 6 curfew on Bole following Chieftaincy clashes

Government, following the advice of the Northern Regional Security Council has imposed a 6pm to 6am curfew on the Bole township of the Northern region, following renewed Chieftaincy clashes between two feuding factions.

A statement announcing the curfew and signed by the Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery also imposed a ban on the carrying of arms, ammunition or any offensive weapons by people from the affected communities.

It warns that anyone found carrying any such weapon will be arrested and prosecuted.
