NPP to consider appointment of new communications director and other officers tomorrow-John Boadu

A joint National Executive Committee and National council meeting of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) will tomorrow, Wednesday September 19, consider the appointment of a new Director of Communications for the party following the resignation of Mr. Adomako Baafi as its director of communications.

General Secretary of the party John Boadu speaking on Accra based Okay Fm and monitored by BestNewsGH.com said the committee will also consider the appointment of other appointed officials of the party, to support the elected party officicers.

Some of the appointed party positions in include the deputy general secretary, the deputy national organiser and the deputy national youth organisers.

Already, interested party members and their supporters have been loud on social media campaigning for their favourites to be appointed to fill the various vacancies in the party.

According Mr. Boadu, preceding the joint national executive committee and national council meeting, will be a steering committee meeting.

According to him, the National Executive committee appoints the officers in consultation with the National Council of the party, adding that a decision will be arrived at, after tomorrow’s meeting, aimed at considering suitable persons for appointment.

Mr Boadu entreated party members and supporters to be patient with the party executives as they consider the various eligible candidates, adding that the outcome of tomorrow’s meeting will be made public as soon as they arrive at a conclusion.
